Like the students he seeks to help, Kepa Freeman's journey to film music was not a straight line.

A late bloomer, he discovered his passion for film music after a semester in college majoring in computer graphics. After failing two auditions to get into Temple University's music program, he wasn't allowed to be a music composition major, and had to settle for an alternative program that left him graduating feeling underprepared.

Over the years, however, Kepa would have the opportunity to intern with Charlie Brissette, the film composer for Jimmy Neutron. He would also go on to study music production and film scoring under David Levy of David Levy Scoring.

After years of piecing together the film music puzzle, Kepa would officially start his scoring career with a 5-figure paycheck for scoring the pilot of a faith-based kids show.

Now, he uses his experiences to teach aspiring composers how to make film music that can start their careers...without the years-long learning curve.
