With over 20 years of composing and songwriting experience, Freeman's music has been featured in stage plays, independent films, film & TV music publishing catalogs, as well as children's programming.

Raised by two actor/director parents who both have songwriting credits in musical theatre, Freeman's path to film music feels inevitable, but there were major detours.

Near the end of his time at Temple University's music program, Freeman had a spiritual wake-up call that caused him to give up his dreams of becoming a Hollywood film composer. Seeing no path to make a reliable living in Hollywood without compromising his values, Kepa took a different path...

Seeking to make God a priority, Kepa redirected his passion for music into a faith-based youth performing arts program where he directed and composed music for original plays and short film projects.

He continued to fine-tune his craft through other youth-arts programs, faith-based independent films, music licensing opportunities, passion projects, and freelance scoring projects; including scoring the pilot for a children's show on The Hope Channel.

With the explosion of high-quality Christian and Family-Friendly Films in the last decade, Freeman's passion for film music was reignited.

Now Kepa uses his experience as a composer and songwriter to simplify the musical stage of filmmaking for busy directors, while crafting a signature sound that gives every project its own unique voice.
